The Audience in Pictures

Recently one of our Live Music Producers, Amy Wolter, worked with Christian artist Frances Drost. Amy gave Frances an idea for adding some visual excitement to one of her songs through the use of media.

Frances gave it a try, and she was pleased to find that it gave her a real connection with people. She wrote to tell us how it worked:

“Just wanted to let you know that I tried your idea of inserting congregational pictures in the video for the first time this weekend. I had the pastor send me photos of their congregation and I inserted them throughout the video. I could literally hear the reactions of people (I didn’t tell the congregation what was coming).

And another side benefit was that I recognized people from the photos as they were coming in. It made me feel more at home right from the beginning. At the end of the concert, it was a great way to interact with people because their kids were in it and I could connect with them on a different level.

What a fabulous idea! Lots of work and prep to get it done ahead of time, but it was amazing how it went over. Thanks for the suggestion!! It really worked.”

And thanks for letting us know, Frances! (See the video of her song, “Wonderfully Created,” below.)
